We are delighted to announce that City Science has been commissioned to develop an Electric Vehicle (EV) Strategy for Walsall Council in the West Midlands.
We will develop a local strategic vision and delivery plan to shape the delivery of EV infrastructure in Walsall, in keeping with the local and regional context. We will build on the context of the Black Country Ultra Low Emission Vehicle Strategy, and local forecasting generated by Cenex to produce a bespoke strategy that accounts for the local context and anticipated infrastructure needs. Our strategy will take a short-term view, seeking to maximise impact and make recommendations for a rapid transition to EVs.
We will use key learnings from our Electric Vehicle Insight Study with Transport East and England’s Economic Heartland to identify suitable EV business models for Walsall Council’s, and seek to highlight opportunities for income generation. We will continue to uphold the need for a just transition, with a delivery approach for the Council that accounts for the needs of different groups and circumstances.
