City Science is thrilled to announce, we have been appointed to produce a Regional Active Travel Strategy & Action Plan for Transport for the South East (TfSE).
Building on TfSE’s overarching Transport Strategy, the Regional Active Travel Strategy will focus on developing a strategic active travel network across the region that joins up and enhances the existing work being done by local authorities across the TfSE area. We will work in close partnership with the sixteen local transport authorities that TfSE represent, alongside a wider group of stakeholders to develop a coherent strategy that reflects the region’s needs.
Our approach will be underpinned by clear evidence through use of our own Cadence GIS platform, combined with the learnings from our work developing Local Cycling & Walking Infrastructure Plans and our walk-cycle models for Thurrock and the Liverpool City Region. Through this, we will ensure that the future strategic network will be able to meet TfSE’s investment priorities including decarbonisation, levelling up communities, and improving connectivity.
