City Science is delighted to announce that we have been commissioned by Hampshire County Council to develop a Car Parking Demand Study for the City of Winchester.
The aim of the study is to assess the combined impact of post-Covid-19 reduced commuting patterns on car parking demand, as well as to understand the likely impacts on future car park developments, including delivery of a new strategic Park & Ride site north of Winchester. This will be evidenced by both the existing and forecasted demand and nature of car park users. This study will support the goals set out in the Winchester Movement Strategy to reduce city centre traffic and increase use of sustainable travel modes.
Our methodology will use best practice, data collection and stakeholder engagement to ensure that we deliver a final report that will allow Winchester to move forward with their plans to decarbonising travel and reducing car dependency.
