Cotswold District Transport Decarbonisation Study

May 24, 2022

City Science is pleased to announce that we have been appointed by Cotswold District Council (CDC) to develop a Transport Decarbonisation Study which will underpin the development of CDC’s Sustainable Transport Strategy.

CDC declared a climate emergency in July 2019 and have made a commitment to reducing carbon emissions to net zero by 2045. This work will provide a baseline of the current level of transport emissions, forecast potential carbon trajectories and identify and prioritise interventions and policy levers to support CDC’s net zero ambition.

Our methodology will use best practice and extensive stakeholder engagement to ensure that we deliver a range of options tailored to the Cotswolds, which like many other rural authorities, has high levels of transport-related carbon emissions.
