City Science are pleased to announce our successful appointment by the Oxfordshire Growth Board to update the Oxfordshire Infrastructure Strategy (OxIS), working in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council and the County’s five district authorities.
In light of the need to achieve healthy, sustainable and inclusive growth identified in the emerging Oxfordshire Plan 2050 alongside the need to achieve net zero carbon, the Oxfordshire Growth Board knew they wanted to appoint an organisation who could approach this challenge differently. Our innovative, robust, and independent outcome led approach will be key features of our 18-month long commission.
The project will involve updating the previous 2017 OxIS through identifying future infrastructure needs and undertaking a multi-criteria assessment across the emerging themes of environment, health, place-shaping, productivity, and connectivity to prioritise scheme delivery. Throughout our commission, City Science will be working closely with our specialist partners including Julia Hawkins, COCREATIF and Binit to provide a rich and broad understanding of multi-disciplinary infrastructure requirements across the County.
Keep up to date with OxIS and the wider Oxfordshire Growth Plan 2050 here.
